In case you missed it, we’re officially just a few days away from summer. Though this means the best riding temperatures are in the rearview, the season does come with its advantages.

Namely, there’s now plenty of daylight to take that detour on your commute home or make that one last canyon run. Moreover, if you’ve got a stockpile of ambitious two-wheeled projects, you can finally give that work lamp a rest.

Even still, if you need a break to beat the heat, we’re not ones to judge. Ditch the leathers and have a look at some of the awesome new motorcycles rolling out right now.

CFMoto 550CL-C

With CFMoto’s 450CL-C already a hit, the burgeoning Chinese moto brand amps the cruiser up by embiggening the engine. The jump from 449cc to 526cc enables the overhauled parallel twin to make 52 horsepower at 9,000 rpm (30 percent more) and 38 ft-lbs of torque at 6,000 rpm (25 percent more). The slightly larger bike also gets a tech boost, as the circular 3.6-inch TFT dash offers MotoPlay phone connectivity for navigation and screen mirroring, while retaining the retro styling cues and approachability that make its predecessor so popular in the first place.

2027 Honda CRF450R

Honda says the 2027 CRF450R makes for its biggest update to the platform in more than a decade. The brand isn’t blowing smoke, either, as the bike brings a completely overhauled 449.5cc engine, a first-ever rubber damper-activated Back Torque Limiter, a frame design that’s 70 percent new and some fresh bodywork that’s both ergonomic and user-friendly. The bike also touts a robust electronics package with features like HRC Launch Control and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC).

2027 Honda CB1000F

Inspired by the 1979 CB750F, this heavily hyped bike combines retro styling and modern advancements. Notable throwback touches include the big round headlight, angular tank and serpentine exhaust pipes culminating in a glorious bell-shaped silencer. Those pipes emerge from a down-tuned Fireblade-derived 1000cc inline-four making a claimed 122 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 76 lb-ft of torque at 8,000 rpm. The bike also boasts Showa suspension, Nissin brakes and three built-in ride modes — Standard, Sport and Rain — plus two customizable ones you can dial in yourself.

2027 Kawasaki KX327

The KX327 arrives as Kawasaki’s first two-stroke larger than 250cc in over two decades, and Team Green hasn’t missed a beat. Between modern EFI, a designed exhaust valve system, creature comforts like electric start and switchable power modes, it makes for a much more refined machine than the carbureted monsters of old. Still, because it’s a two-stroke, the 327cc off-road moto promises a svelte 233.7-pound curb weight and a power comparable to much larger machines. Alongside the debut of the KX327, Kawasaki also unveiled a more cross-country-focused sibling in the KX327X. It brings added protection and a smaller rear wheel.

2026 Kawasaki W175 LTD

Like the W230 and W800, the W175 LTD derives its sweet retro styling inspiration from the W bikes Kawasaki made back in the 1960s. Shifted via a five-speed gearbox, the 177cc air-cooled SOHC two-valve single engine makes 13 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and peak torque of 9.6 lb-ft. at 6,000 rpm. In other words, I would not take it anywhere near the highway, but for city streets and occasional two-lane twisties, it should provide enough pep and punch to match the curb appeal.

2026 Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS

Not unlike the lil’ Ninja available in India and other markets, the latest US variant of Kawi’s most iconic bike boasts a 296cc parallel twin engine delivering smooth, torquey power at low to medium revs and more potent acceleration at higher rpm. Actually riding it is even easier than it was last decade thanks to an assist and slipper clutch, which limits back torque and makes the clutch lever more responsive, requiring just a light pull to engage and let you shift gears.

2027 Yamaha YZF-R9

Positioned as the perfect blend of supersport capability and rider-friendly accessibility, the new R9 boasts a lively 890cc liquid-cooled CP3 engine making 117 horsepower, plus Brembo Stylema brakes, KYB fully adjustable suspension and loads of high-tech nanny features to help you stay upright. But the icing on the cake for American riders is a sweet US-only paint scheme: dubbed Matte Phantom Blue and Fluorescent Red, it’s a darkly dazzling showstopper with curb appeal that is simultaneously instant and unique.

Mac Motorcycles Ruby

Built by a tiny family-run outfit based in the English countryside, roughly 30 miles east of Manchester, this café racer boasts stunning retro style and approachable specs, including a seat height of 29.9 inches and a nimble dry weight of just 330 pounds. The beating heart is a 600cc single-cylinder engine from Italy’s SWM, derived from the Husqvarna TE610 motor. Thanks to Mac’s own mapping and ECU mated with a Mikuni throttle body, the liquid-cooled four-stroke makes 56 horsepower and can reach a top speed of, the brand says, “around 100 mph.”

Martin Motorcycle Co Triumph Scrambler 400X

Martin Motorcycle Co boosts the appeal of Triumph’s most affordable Scrambler with a number of performance and style upgrades. Highlights include a semi-bespoke Öhlins rear shock and a hand-made stainless exhaust mated to a Vance & Hines reverse megaphone silencer, weighing 33 pounds less than the stock system. The bike also features wire-spoked VMX Racing wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Battlax Adventurecross AX41 tires, a Free Spirits floating brake disc from Italy and a gorgeous custom paint job. Though MMC originally built it for a single client, the Bristol, UK-based shop plans to make a limited number of Scramblers available for roughly £12,000 (~$16,000 USD), including a donor bike.

2027 Ducati Desmo450 EDS

First previewed at EICMA 2025, the Desmo450 EDS is the road-legal enduro version of Ducati’s ground-breaking motocrosser. Along with lights and signals, it touts additions like mirrors and a license plate bracket. However, the changes go much deeper than street accouterments. Ducati completely redesigned the 449.5cc single to make it more tractable through an updated throttle body, a revised piston and new intake and exhaust camshafts. Moreover, if the standard 42-horsepower output isn’t enough, the brand also offers a Performance Racing Kit for a mere $261.70. Add to that other differences, like 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, a transparent fuel tank, a radiator fan, and a revised gearbox, and it’s set to deliver the versatility the Demo450 deserves.

Honda CB750 Hornet ‘Concept 2077’

Switzerland’s entry in Honda’s Wheels and Waves custom build competition reimagines the brand’s beloved street fighter as a futuristic 3D-printed red-and-yellow steed Iron Man would surely love. Fitting, as it comes from a shop calling itself Stark Industries, though the build’s name appears to reference the Cyberpunk 2077 video game, so there’s clearly some of that energy here too. It’s worth pointing out that for all its striking bodywork, the bike still lets the Hornet’s all-new 755cc parallel twin-cylinder, 8-valve Unicam engine shine.

2026 Harley-Davidson Super Glide

Limited to 2,500 individually numbered bikes and celebrating America’s 250th birthday, the new Super Glide blends old-school style with discreet modern features. That means a five-gallon teardrop fuel tank topped with a chrome console, plus a chrome mini ape handlebar that shifts the rider toward a badass “fists in the wind” posture. It also means a suite of rider safety enhancements, selectable ride modes and comfy rear suspension snuck below the seat to maintain the look of a vintage hardtail frame. Oh and a Milwaukee-Eight 117 Classic V-Twin making 98 horsepower and max torque of 120 lb. ft., of course.

2026 Norton Atlas

For 2026, Norton is reviving the Atlas name on an all-new middleweight adventure bike. Powered by a 585cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin, it’s rated for 69 horsepower and 42 lb-ft of torque. Along with a striking design, it promises advanced electronics courtesy of its six-axis IMU. What’s more, the bike brings hardware like beefy 310mm front discs, twin LED projector headlights and a trick switch-cube input for menu navigation. With the debut of the Atlas, Norton has also announced the up-spec Apex, a version that heralds electronic linked brakes and heated hand grips.
