The Adizero Evo SL has it all: super foam, a lightweight upper and streetwear-adjacent style.

Best of all? The flagship version costs $150, making it one of the best values on store shelves, even a year and a half removed from its release.

Compared to the going rate of many daily trainers from other brands, it’s downright cheap.

Now meet its even more affordable sibling, the Adizero Pacer.

Quietly released this month, the new model follows the form and fit of the Adizero Evo SL, right down to the launch colorways.

However, it retools the core ingredients to cut the price by a whopping 50 percent.

It also comes with an EVA-based midsole, rather than supercritical TPEE.

That means the Adizero Pacer costs just $100 at full MSRP, thanks to a traditional mesh upper, EVA-based midsole and Adiwear outsole.

Of course, that trio of materials falls well short of what runners will encounter with the Adizero Evo SL, primarily the supercritical TPEE midsole born from super-shoe technology.

But for an old-school trainer that looks good and won’t break the bank, you could hardly do better … or cheaper.
