Mondaine’s Doppio Bauhaus pays homage to the iconic German art school and its core, modernist design principles — namely that form follows function and less is more. It arrives in two organic rounded cases powered by a Swiss Quartz movement: a slender 33mm time-only model with a white white dial and stainless steel case; and a 41mm version with a date window in the black dial and IP Gun stainless steel case. Both wear with an elegance that recalls the movement’s ethos that beauty and function are inseparable.
At the center of each watch is a silver concave dial that adds an element of depth. The Doppio collection’s signature double-line hands and indexes frame the face with geometric precision, while a double-domed sapphire crystal adds visual layering and legibility. The stainless steel mesh bracelet, the iconic red second hand, and 5 ATM water resistance round out a watch that feels truly modern.
