LOEWE is marking a major milestone. To celebrate its 180th birthday, the luxury house is marking the occasion with a star-studded campaign that looks back at its rich history while celebrating what's next.
Shot by Talia Chetrit, the anniversary campaign brings together a jaw-dropping cast including Julia Garner, GISELLE, Salma Abu Deif, Kara Wai, Sissy Spacek and artist Kara Walker. The faces of the campaign pose with some of LOEWE's most beloved designs, from the Flamenco clutch and Puzzle bag to the newly reimagined Amazona 180.
Originally introduced in 1975, the Amazona has been refreshed by LOEWE's new creative directors, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, for their debut collection. The updated silhouette pays tribute to the original while bringing a softer, more relaxed feel through supple leathers and suede finishes.
The celebration doesn't stop there. Launching alongside the campaign is a limited-edition capsule collection arriving June 3. Spanning ready-to-wear, leather goods and accessories, the offering pays tribute to LOEWE's heritage through playful lion motifs, a nod to the brand's name, which translates to "lion" in German.
The anniversary celebrations continue with an animated film narrated by Antonio Banderas, tracing key moments in LOEWE's history, from its beginnings in Madrid to its role as supplier to the Spanish Crown. Meanwhile, a special magazine titled 180 Years of Craft will offer a rare look inside the House's archives and atelier.
More than a celebration of longevity, LOEWE's anniversary reflects its enduring ability to honor tradition while continuously reinventing itself for a new generation.
Grab your free copy of the magazine supplement in stores on June 15 to peek inside the archive, and head to the brand's website for more.
In other news, Martin Margiela is putting his personal archive up for auction in an industry-first.
