Summer just started, but fall can't get here soon enough. There's a major collaboration on the way, and we can't wait for it to drop. British-Nigerian designer Mowalola Ogunlesi is officially joining forces with Jordan Brand for a boundary-pushing capsule that redefines streetwear elegance.
The collaborative project takes the iconic, Ferrari-inspired 1998 Air Jordan 14 silhouette and injects it with Mowalola's signature rebellious energy. Leading the drop is the AJ14 in a seasonal black, red and gold colorway, featuring deep red suede and the designer's name rendered in gorgeous cursive across the lateral panel.
The collection is setting its own footwear precedent this year, too, introducing the first-ever backless slip-on version of the shoe: the Air Jordan 14 Mule. Arriving in a sleek silver, black and red palette, this laceless wonder swaps out athletic structure for a chic, chrome upper and a glossy black midsole.
Alongside the footwear, a mesh tracksuit is slated to drop with the capsule, with retro-inspired lettering and labels.
The Mowalola x Air Jordan 14 capsule is set to drop on September 18 on the Nike website and select retailers.
In other news, Martine Rose dropped unreleased Nike Shox MR4 colorways.
