Bashaques
İzmir-born, Saint Martins-trained Başak Cankeş launched Bashaques in 2014 as 'wearable art' — sculptural womenswear painted, embroidered and laser-cut into one-of-one pieces. Her ateliers in Alaçatı and Istanbul double as galleries. Cankeş won the Mediterranean Fashion Prize in Marseille and a YOTA initiative spot from London's Centre for Fashion Enterprise; her Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul show 'Once' drew international press for its painterly tailoring.
Shop Secondhand
Archive and rare Bashaques pieces mostly circulate on the resale market. Japanese sites don't ship to China — buy via a proxy like Buyee; most Western sites ship internationally or are reachable with a US/EU forwarder.
