Holzweiler
Holzweiler was founded in 2012 in Oslo by siblings Susanne Holzweiler and Andreas Holzweiler (joined later by his wife Maria Skappel Holzweiler) as a small Norwegian accessories brand built around hand-screen-printed silk-and-modal scarves. The brand's foundational thesis was specific: produce the kind of contemporary-art-anchored printed scarf that was difficult to find in the Scandinavian market — saturated abstract-art prints applied to high-quality silk and modal bases, at a €150-€300 price tier.
The Holzweiler vocabulary expanded through the mid-2010s into a complete contemporary ready-to-wear menswear-and-womenswear collection: knitwear in deliberately oversized cuts, technical-fabric outerwear, hand-printed silk-and-modal scarves and accessories remained the brand's signature category, and a colour palette anchored to saturated primaries, soft pastels, and the brand's recurring use of contemporary-painting-inspired abstract motifs. The brand presents at Oslo Runway and Copenhagen Fashion Week.
The brand is independent and family-controlled by the Holzweiler siblings plus several Norwegian venture investors. Holzweiler operates flagship retail in Oslo (Bogstadveien, Aker Brygge, the Holzweiler Concept Store at Skovveien), Stockholm, Copenhagen, plus a substantial e-commerce platform serving Scandinavia, Europe, and North America. International wholesale runs through Mytheresa, SSENSE, MR PORTER, MATCHES, and a curated set of European and Asian luxury department stores. The brand has been one of the most quietly successful Norwegian-anchored contemporary ready-to-wear brands of the post-2010 generation.
