Loewe Surf

Loewe Surf is the annual summer capsule collection of Loewe, the Spanish luxury house founded in 1846 in Madrid, specifically focused on what creative director Jonathan Anderson described as 'a deliberately-surf-and-resort-aesthetic Loewe capsule anchored to contemporary Mediterranean-and-Pacific surf-culture references.' The capsule was launched in 2020 as a sister-line to the broader Loewe Paula's Ibiza summer-collaboration capsule, with the Surf capsule serving as the brand's deliberately-Pacific-Coast-aesthetic summer programme. The Loewe Surf vocabulary settled around several recurring elements: hand-printed silk and cotton shirts with deliberately-surf-graphic motif references, hand-finished leather sandals and surf-aesthetic handbags, deliberately-resort-aesthetic ready-to-wear including bermuda shorts, oversized cotton tees, and surf-aesthetic-swimwear, and a colour palette anchored to deliberately-saturated Pacific-Coast-aesthetic colour combinations (turquoise, ocean-blue, sunset-orange, marigold-yellow, coral) plus washed-cream, ecru, and oxblood. The capsule has anchored Loewe's broader contemporary-luxury-surf-aesthetic conversation since 2020. The capsule is part of Loewe, the LVMH-owned Spanish luxury house. Loewe Surf distributes through every Loewe flagship store globally — particularly the Loewe Madrid flagship, Loewe Paris (Avenue Montaigne), Loewe Tokyo (Aoyama, Ginza), plus extensive international Loewe flagship distribution. The Surf capsule has been one of the defining post-2020 Loewe-anchored 'collaboration-and-summer-resort-luxury' programmes alongside the Paula's Ibiza capsule.
