Founded in 2000 by Clara de la Torre with partners Verónica Olavide and Diana Dai Chee Chaug, Manto has become one of Buenos Aires's most respected outerwear and ready-to-wear houses. Fabrics are hand-woven on criollo looms by artisan communities in the northwestern provinces of Salta, Jujuy and Catamarca using pure Andean sheep wool, llama, guanaco and linen; pieces are then cut and finished one at a time in the brand's Buenos Aires atelier. Manto's zero-waste, naturally dyed coats and dresses are sold through its flagship in Recoleta and select international stockists.
