Heritage Streetwear
Mister Green
Mister Green was founded in 2017 in Los Angeles by skater-and-designer Bobby Hundreds (the founder of The Hundreds), Brandon Jefferson, and the broader Mister Green creative team as a deliberately-cannabis-aesthetic streetwear brand specifically focused on what the founders described as 'a deliberately-cannabis-culture-and-luxury-streetwear hybrid vocabulary anchored to the contemporary California cannabis-legalization cultural moment.' The brand has been one of the defining post-2017 LA-anchored 'cannabis-luxury-streetwear' brands.
The Mister Green vocabulary settled around several recurring elements: heavyweight cotton tees and hoodies with deliberately-cannabis-aesthetic graphic-design references, deconstructed denim and workwear-derived streetwear trousers, the brand's iconic Mister Green Plant Care line (deliberately-cannabis-culture-aesthetic accessory product), the long-running Mister Green × Stüssy, Mister Green × Hat Club, Mister Green × Cookies, and Mister Green × Sundae School collaboration capsules, and a colour palette anchored to washed-black, washed-olive, ecru, oxblood, plus the brand's recurring use of saturated cannabis-leaf-green, electric-blue, marigold-yellow, and the iconic cannabis-culture-aesthetic accent combinations.
The brand is independent and held by the founders. Mister Green operates a flagship retail concept in Los Angeles (Fairfax Avenue — the brand's home neighbourhood) plus international wholesale through HBX, Patta, Slam Jam Milan, Dover Street Market, the broader US-and-European streetwear specialty distribution network, and a substantial Japanese streetwear-specialty distribution. The brand has been one of the defining post-2017 LA-anchored 'cannabis-luxury-streetwear' brands.
