Founded in 1989 by physician-turned-designer Oskar Metsavaht, Osklen began with a single technical fleece jacket made for the first Brazilian expedition to Aconcagua and evolved into Brazil's pioneering 'New Luxury' lifestyle house. Headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, the brand fuses athletic functionality with carioca ease and has become a research hub for sustainable fabrics — pioneering organic cotton, fish-leather and recycled-PET textiles long before they became industry standard. Today Osklen operates dozens of stores across Brazil and abroad, and Metsavaht remains a UNESCO ambassador for sustainable luxury.
