Quasi Skateboards was founded in 2013 in Indianapolis by skater-and-designer Chad Bowers as a deliberately-Midwest-American skate-deck-and-streetwear brand specifically focused on what Bowers described as 'a deliberately-art-anchored Midwest-American skate vocabulary.' The brand has been one of the defining post-2013 American-anchored 'art-skate' brands operating outside the broader LA-and-NY skate-industry hegemony. The Quasi Skateboards vocabulary settled around several recurring elements: heavyweight cotton tees and hoodies with deliberately-art-anchored graphic-design references (the brand has worked with artists including Sage Vaughn, Beni Bischof, and dozens of others on graphic-design programs), deconstructed denim and workwear-derived skate trousers, the brand's iconic Quasi skate-deck programme featuring deliberately-art-anchored graphic compositions, the long-running Quasi × Nike SB, Quasi × Vans, Quasi × Hockey, and Quasi × Civilist collaboration capsules, and a colour palette anchored to washed-black, washed-navy, ecru, oxblood, plus the brand's recurring use of saturated red, electric-blue, butter-yellow, and the iconic Midwest-American-skate-art aesthetic colour combinations. The brand is independent and held by Bowers. Quasi Skateboards operates with no permanent retail of its own, distributing through skate-shop wholesale globally — including Supreme, Slam Jam Milan, Civilist Berlin, FTC, the broader US-and-European skate-shop network, and the Japanese skate-specialty retailers Beams, Ships, United Arrows, and the broader Japanese skate-specialty distribution. The brand has been one of the defining post-2013 American-anchored 'art-skate' brands.

Shop Secondhand

Archive and rare Quasi Skateboards pieces mostly circulate on the resale market. Japanese sites don't ship to China — buy via a proxy like Buyee; most Western sites ship internationally or are reachable with a US/EU forwarder.
