RIPNDIP was founded in 2009 in Los Angeles by skater Ryan O'Connor as a small streetwear brand specifically focused on producing deliberately-absurd graphic-print apparel featuring O'Connor's iconic Lord Nermal cat character — a cartoonish blue cat that became the brand's defining visual signature, applied to graphic-tees, hoodies, and skate-deck graphics.
