Saint Laurent Rive Droite is the deliberately-experiential concept-store sub-line of Saint Laurent, the Paris-based French luxury house. Rive Droite was launched in 2019 by Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello as a deliberately-curated cross-cultural retail concept that sits between traditional ready-to-wear and luxury concept-store retail. The first Rive Droite flagship opened on Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris's right-bank district (hence the name), followed by a Los Angeles Rive Droite flagship on Rodeo Drive in 2019.
The Saint Laurent Rive Droite vocabulary settled around several specific products: deliberately-exclusive Saint Laurent capsule product (deliberately-limited variants of the main-line ready-to-wear that distribute exclusively through Rive Droite locations), the iconic Saint Laurent Rive Droite collaborative product programme (with curated partners including Wood Wood, Maison Bonnet, Tirelli, Studio Tomboy, Andersson Bell, and dozens of other contemporary brands), curated vinyl-record-and-art-book selections, hand-printed Saint Laurent Rive Droite editorial publications, and a colour palette anchored to washed-black, washed-cream, oxblood, ecru, plus the brand's recurring use of saturated red and the iconic Saint-Laurent-deliberately-rock-and-roll aesthetic accent combinations.
The sub-line is part of Saint Laurent, the Kering-owned French luxury house. Saint Laurent Rive Droite operates the Rue Saint-Honoré Paris flagship and the Rodeo Drive Los Angeles flagship plus various Saint Laurent Rive Droite pop-up cycles in Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, Beijing, and the major Asian-luxury-customer cities. The sub-line has been one of the more conceptually rigorous post-2019 'luxury-concept-store-and-collaboration' sub-lines.
