Saint Mxxxxxx (often pronounced 'Saint Michael') was founded in 2015 in Tokyo by Cali DeWitt and Yusaku Hayakawa as a deliberately-collaborative streetwear-and-denim brand specifically focused on what the founders described as 'a deliberately-curated cultural conversation between American 1970s-1980s rock-and-prison-iconography and contemporary Tokyo streetwear craft.' The brand was conceived as a deliberately-blank canvas that could host continuous designer-and-artist collaborations rather than building a single coherent brand identity. The Saint Mxxxxxx vocabulary settled around several recurring elements: heavily-distressed denim and cotton apparel with deliberate hand-bleached-and-acid-washed surface treatment, hand-painted and screen-printed graphic-tees with the brand's iconic American-rock-and-prison-iconography motifs (skulls, snakes, religious-and-occult symbols, hand-stitched gothic typography), the long-running Saint Mxxxxxx × NEIGHBORHOOD, Saint Mxxxxxx × Travis Scott (the Saint Cactus capsules), Saint Mxxxxxx × Wind and Sea, and Saint Mxxxxxx × KIDS LOVE GAITE collaboration capsules, and a colour palette anchored to washed-black, washed-cream, oxblood, ecru, plus the brand's recurring use of saturated red and the iconic Saint-purple gradient. The brand is independent and held by DeWitt and Hayakawa. Saint Mxxxxxx operates a flagship retail concept in Tokyo (Aoyama — the brand's home store; Shibuya Parco), Los Angeles (Fairfax Avenue), plus international wholesale through Dover Street Market, GR8, SSENSE, HBX, Patta, the broader Japanese-and-American streetwear specialty network, and the long-running Travis Scott Cactus Jack collaboration network. The brand has been one of the defining post-2015 Tokyo-anchored 'collaborative-streetwear-luxury' brands.

Shop Secondhand

Archive and rare Saint Mxxxxxx pieces mostly circulate on the resale market. Japanese sites don't ship to China — buy via a proxy like Buyee; most Western sites ship internationally or are reachable with a US/EU forwarder.
