Soulland
Soulland was founded in 2002 in Copenhagen by Silas Adler and Jacob Kampp Berliner. The brand began as a small graphic-tee operation for the Copenhagen skate and music scene, gradually evolving into a full menswear and womenswear ready-to-wear practice. The thesis from the start was clear: build a Copenhagen-based brand that engaged with skate / music / contemporary art subcultures without abandoning the Scandinavian craft tradition.
The Soulland vocabulary settled around relaxed Scandinavian tailoring, contemporary knitwear, deliberately oversized graphic outerwear, and an emphasis on collaboration with the broader Copenhagen creative ecosystem (musicians, photographers, ceramicists). The brand has also operated a long-running editorial publishing arm — Soulland Forever — that produces zines, books, and short films, integrating cultural production with product release.
Soulland operates flagships in Copenhagen (Gammel Kongevej and Studiestræde) plus Tokyo and Seoul presence. The brand is independent and held by the founders. Collaborations with The North Face, Pop Trading Co., HOKA, and Stüssy have positioned the brand in international streetwear circulation. Few Danish brands have so explicitly built their identity around subcultural participation while maintaining a serious ready-to-wear practice.
