Welcome Skateboards was founded in 2010 in San Diego by skater Jason Celaya as a deliberately-art-anchored skate-deck brand specifically focused on what Celaya described as 'a deliberately-art-and-skate-anchored skate-deck vocabulary anchored to deliberately-experimental and deliberately-graphic-design-aesthetic deck-graphic programs.' The brand has been one of the defining post-2010 American-anchored 'art-skate' brands. The Welcome Skateboards vocabulary settled around several recurring elements: the iconic Welcome Skateboards skate-deck programme featuring deliberately-art-and-experimental graphic-design references (the brand has worked with deliberately-unconventional skate-graphic artists across multiple eras), heavyweight cotton tees and hoodies with deliberately-Welcome-art-anchored graphic-design references, deconstructed denim and workwear-derived skate trousers, the iconic Welcome Skateboards Team programme (with skate-team-rider signature deck-graphics from Daniel Vargas, Quintin Haggood, Nora Vasconcellos, and the broader Welcome team-rider roster), various contemporary-skate-and-streetwear collaboration capsules, and a colour palette anchored to washed-black, washed-navy, ecru, oxblood, plus the brand's recurring use of saturated red, electric-blue, butter-yellow, and the iconic 2010s-American-art-skate-aesthetic accent combinations. The brand is independent and held by Celaya. Welcome Skateboards distributes through skate-shop wholesale globally — including Supreme, Slam Jam Milan, Civilist Berlin, FTC, the broader US-and-European skate-shop network, and the Japanese skate-specialty retailers Beams, Ships, United Arrows, and the broader Japanese skate-specialty distribution. The brand has been one of the defining post-2010 American-anchored 'art-skate' brands.

Shop Secondhand

Archive and rare Welcome Skateboards pieces mostly circulate on the resale market. Japanese sites don't ship to China — buy via a proxy like Buyee; most Western sites ship internationally or are reachable with a US/EU forwarder.
