Collina Strada was founded in 2009 in New York by Hillary Taymour as a contemporary luxury womenswear brand specifically focused on what Taymour described as 'a deliberately-sustainable, deliberately-deadstock-fabric anchored Y2K-aesthetic visual culture rebuilt as contemporary high-fashion.' The brand has been one of the defining post-2009 NYC-anchored 'sustainability-and-Y2K-revival luxury' brands, with the deliberately-deadstock-fabric production and Y2K-aesthetic visual culture anchoring the broader brand cultural position.
