OAMC (Over All Master Cloth) was founded in 2013 in Paris by Luke Meier, a former senior designer at Supreme during the brand's defining 2000s-era growth period and later at Jil Sander as co-creative director. The brand's foundational thesis was specific: produce a luxury menswear vocabulary at the intersection of streetwear silhouette proportions, military-and-workwear archive references, and Italian-luxury-tailoring craft — anchored to the deliberately ambiguous 'Over All Master Cloth' acronym name that resists easy categorisation. The OAMC vocabulary settled around several recurring elements: military-derived field jackets and trench coats with deliberately exaggerated and proportionally-distorted construction, technical-fabric outerwear with hardware-anchored detail, deconstructed knitwear with deliberate-asymmetric panel construction, the long-running OAMC × Re-Nylon and OAMC × Adidas Originals Type O collaboration programmes, and a colour palette anchored to military olive, washed-navy, oxblood, ecru, washed-charcoal, and the brand's recurring use of saturated red and dust-pink. The brand has presented at Paris Men's Fashion Week each season since 2014. The brand is independent and held by Meier plus his wife Lucie Meier (who held the Jil Sander creative-director role with Luke from 2017-2024). OAMC operates with no permanent retail of its own, distributing through SSENSE, MR PORTER, MATCHES, Dover Street Market, GR8, Antonioli, Lane Crawford, the major European luxury menswear specialty retailers, and a wide Asian wholesale presence. The brand has been one of the defining post-2010 Paris menswear brands at the 'streetwear-meets-tailoring' intersection, with the deliberately-ambiguous brand-positioning specifically anchoring OAMC inside the contemporary luxury-streetwear conversation.
