Saul Nash
Saul Nash was founded in 2017 in London by British-Trinidadian designer Saul Nash, a former contemporary-dance choreographer who launched the brand specifically focused on what Nash described as 'menswear designed for the moving body.' The brand's foundational thesis was specific and physically literal: produce a contemporary menswear vocabulary explicitly engineered for athletic movement (dance, running, basketball, the broader physical-performance context), rebuilt at the contemporary luxury price tier with deliberately technical-fabric construction and proportional language anchored to the moving body rather than static photography aesthetics.
The Saul Nash vocabulary settled around several recurring elements: deliberately-athletic-cut technical-fabric tracksuits and athletic separates, hand-paneled jersey and lycra tops with deliberate movement-engineering construction, deconstructed mesh-and-technical-fabric outerwear, the brand's recurring use of bonded-membrane and reflective athletic fabrics, and a colour palette anchored to washed-black, washed-navy, oxblood, ecru, plus the brand's recurring use of saturated red and electric-blue athletic-performance accents. The brand has presented at London Men's Fashion Week each season since 2018 and won the LVMH Karl Lagerfeld Prize in 2022.
The brand is independent and held by Nash. Saul Nash operates with no permanent retail of its own, distributing through SSENSE, MR PORTER, MATCHES, Browns, Dover Street Market, the Boontheshop network in Seoul, and a curated set of luxury menswear specialty retailers globally. The brand has been one of the more conceptually rigorous post-2017 London-anchored 'athletic-luxury-menswear' debuts, with the deliberately-movement-engineered positioning specifically anchoring the brand inside the contemporary 'performance-fashion' conversation that has been continuously rewritten since 2020.
